April Snow Showers in Yosemite

April 10, 2016

April snow showers were soon to be arriving in Yosemite on this beautiful Sunday. Stopping near Tunnel View to take a pictures of the clouds, I was soon joined by Park visitors doing the same. This mother and daughter posed for a picture taken by Dad.

The Yosemite WEATHER forecast for April 8, 2016 was…

Today: Chance of showers in the morning...then showers and slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Near the crest... Chance of snow showers in the morning...then snow showers... Showers and slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Snow accumulation up to 4 inches. Snow level above 8000 feet. Highs 57 to 62 at 5000 feet...45 to 53 at 8000 feet.

Tonight: Near the crest...showers in the evening...snow showers. Slight chance of thunderstorms in the evening. Showers. Snow level above 8000 feet. Lows 40 to 45 at 5000 feet...32 to 37 at 8000 feet.

Tomorrow: Showers...snow showers and slight chance of thunderstorms...snow showers and slight chance of thunderstorms near the crest. Snow accumulation up to 6 inches. Snow level above 8000 feet. Highs 52 to 58 at 5000 feet...41 to 47 at 8000 feet.

And the following day…..showers were still forecasted by the beautiful clouds near Tunnel View.

Yosemite National Park has been called Nature’s Grand Cathedral; and the clouds above Yosemite remind us that we are indeed in a cathedral.
